Ashok Gems was founded in Jaipur with a single mission — to preserve and share the art of Kundan and Meena jewellery with the world. What started as a small family workshop on Gopal Ji Ka Rasta has grown into a trusted name in precious stones and traditional jewellery.
The Art of Kundan & Meena
Kundan
Kundan is one of the oldest forms of jewellery making in India. It involves setting uncut diamonds and gemstones in gold using a lac core, creating intricate patterns that catch light from every angle. Our artisans have mastered this technique over decades of practice.
Meenakari
Meenakari is the art of coloring the surface of metals with vibrant enamel. Originating from Persia and perfected in Rajasthan, this technique uses fine brushwork to apply rich blues, reds, greens, and whites onto gold surfaces. The reverse side of Kundan pieces often features stunning Meena work.

Jaipur is known as the gem city of India for good reason. For centuries, it has been the center of precious stone cutting, polishing, and trading. Our workshop on Gopal Ji Ka Rasta sits in the heart of this tradition, surrounded by generations of gem traders and master craftsmen. This location gives us direct access to the finest stones and the most skilled artisans in the country.
